Our History
Mr. Kevin Penston, the founder of Pure Mountain Adventure Inc., has been passionately pursuing outdoor touring and guiding for over a decade. he has made his passion his career by showing others the magnificence of the outdoors since 1999. As the company grew, it diversified into training and facilitation of the outdoors and inherently into First Aid & CPR. With many experiences to draw from Kevin and Pure Mountain employees are able to bring these real life scenarios into the courses to make them very real and relevant to students.

Pure Mountain Medic is a division of Pure Mountain Adventure Incorporated. We are an Authorized Provider of Red Cross Standards in First Aid & CPR who provide quality education across Alberta, Canada. We have achieved five years of successful business in the health & safety industry and look forward to more in the future.

Pure Mountain Medic aspires to go above and beyond your teaching expectations. We use a variety of different learning techniques to facilitate the learning process which include hands on work, visual aids and group work. Pure Mountain Medic works with each group individually to assess what kind of scenarios occur in their environments and relate to them with real life instances. We love what we do and that makes us passionate about sharing our experiences with you.
Commitment to Service
- Lost or Stolen Cards - As a Red Cross Authorized Provider, we have access to the most current first aid requirements and a database should cards or certifications get lost or stolen. Certification is all backed up with The Canadian Red Cross.
- Confidentiality - Participant information received is kept in confidence of Pure Mountain Medic. We do not share our information to 3rd parties and is used solely for the purpose of recording course certification completions.
- Quick Response Times - We are dedicated to quick response times in regards to questions, comments and course requests. Standards of Teaching - Pure Mountain Medic is mandated and reviewed by The Canadian Red Cross to regulate quality teaching practices. We provide course evaluations that gives our company and The Red Cross valuable feedback that helps us maintain our quality of education.

Dedication to Safe Practice
- Well Maintained Teaching Devices
We use the most current industry standard, non-toxic , well kept teaching materials and devices possible in our instruction process. - Disinfection
Pure Mountain Medic has a strict code of conduct in terms of specially cleaning and disinfecting all of our teaching materials prior to all classes. All our mannequins, facemasks and anything else that may come in contact with another person is sanitized for maximum disinfection. - Abuse
Pure Mountain Medic carries a zero tolerance policy to any form of abuse in its courses. The participant(s) that deviate from this standard will be asked to formally leave the course. This is to ensure the safety standards of all participants involved and to create a fun, safe learning environment.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation Policy
All requests must be submitted or requested during business/office hours. Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Offices are closed on all statutory holidays. - No Refunds
No refunds will be issued during the COVID-19 situation. Due to small class sizes, additional preparation and equipment required to run our courses Pure Mountain Medic will issue transfers only to upcoming courses should the client need to reschedule. See conditions for transfers below. - Transfers
Transfers are valid for 1 year from the date of the original course booked date. If you have not rescheduled your course within the year timeframe, all funds are forfeited and that transfer becomes null and void.
Transfer requests must be requested 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled course. Transfer requests on the day of the course due to a medical reason or any COVID -19 related causes will be accepted. Requests less than 24 hours from the start of the course and are non-medically associated will be reviewed on an individual basis and may or may not result in a transfer option. - After course start date/time re. No Show
Please be aware that “no shows” or failure to attend a program constitutes an outright forfeit of all registration fees and no transfers will be issued at that point. - Late arrival for all courses
Pure Mountain Medic reserves the right to restrict allowance into class upon late arrivals of over 45 minutes from the start time of the class. ALL registration fees will be forfeited. This policy is applicable to all Pure Mountain Medic programs. - Pure Mountain Medic Cancellations
In the event of a course being cancelled by Pure Mountain Medic (a division of Pure Mountain Adventure Inc.), you will be notified and you will receive a full refund on fees paid, or you will have the option to transfer to another suitable course and/or date without any administration fees. - Liability
Risk is inherent in First Aid, CPR and Emergency Medical services activities as it is a hands-on training course. By participating in these activities it is understood that you are aware of this element of risk and accept it as an integral part of this activity. As a participant, you will not hold liable Pure Mountain Medic or it's employees.
